EASTSIDE REPUBLICAN CLUB

Do your part for election integrity

Now is the time for those of us concerned about election integrity to stand up! Keep reading.

Some of us have been volunteer poll “watchers” or poll “challengers,” but there’s a better way. Michigan statute calls for parity at the polls between Democrat and Republican “workers.” The problem is that in some jurisdictions, there are not enough willing Republicans to fulfill the statutory requirement. This is especially true for Detroit, Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo.

That’s where you come in. Now–right now–is the time to raise your hand to be a paid election worker at a Detroit precinct for the 2025 elections just ahead. Start by clicking this MCC link to get started. You’ll be trained. It can pay several hundred dollars per day for a day or two of work. You’ll also be an experienced worker eligible to serve in the critical 2026 elections.

Renee Strobl

Renee Strobl, a poll worker herself, notes, “A poll worker, unlike a challenger and watcher, is a paid position (approximately $300-$600 dollars for the day, depending on your role. This duty allows far greater influence on how the ballots are processed. Even for people who have been rebuffed by Detroit in the past, this recruitment is aimed to ensure the GOP gets fair representation.”

Take it from another eastsider, David DeWitt, who has served multiple times as a paid Detroit poll worker at Huntington Place and found it gratifying.

David DeWitt

The work involves sitting at a table with three other dedicated workers meticulously opening and processing ballots. Each of us is assigned a distinct role. Supervisors are generally great, and their function is to ensure counts run smoothly and accurately with robust checks and balances in place to verify that each ballot has been correctly tallied.

It's a pleasant working environment. I have thoroughly enjoyed the people I have worked with each time. All of us are there to make sure the job is done correctly and yet there is time during the processing–during breaks and lunch– to have light conversation. There is only one time that a worker at our table was warned about improper processing. If the supervisor sees any misconduct or short cuts, that person is warned and risks expulsion at any time while counting is underway.

The counting process often takes a full day or a combination of day and night shifts. Despite the challenges, the experience has been immensely rewarding, and I am proud to have contributed to the election process in such a meaningful way.

Good news: the paid parking on the Huntington roof is monitored, secure and safe. All the workers in each shift arrive and leave at about the same time.

David adds, “If people want to contact me, I would be pleased to share my positive experience. I have been at Huntington Place as a paid poll worker counting absentee ballots three times.”

Just contact this website and we’ll put you in touch with David.

Pictured speaking to the February 2022 ERC Forum is Detroit’s former Sherriff James Craig. The event was held in the Reception room of The War Memorial.

Bringing Newsmakers to Detroit’s Eastside

The Eastside Republican Club meets monthly at The War Memorial, 32 Lake Shore Road, Grosse Pointe Farms.

We meet there on the third Tuesday each month from September through May. Admission is free and the public is always welcome. Our guest speaker will be announced later in the summer.

You ask, what is the “east side”? The ERC serves the northeast corner of Wayne County, Mich. (east of Mount Elliott), including the eastside of Detroit, plus suburban communities of Harper Woods and the five Grosse Pointes. But the truth is that folks visit us from Oakland and Macomb Counties and beyond.

Today, the ERC has a worldwide reach via the web thanks to Al Gore!

Did you know there are other Republican organizations serving this area?

The Michigan Republican Party has official, elected committees in every U.S. Congressional district. It also has official, elected groups in each Michigan County, including Wayne.

There even other “Eastside Republican” clubs, but not in Michigan.

If you’re looking for the Eastside Republican Club serving the region east of Seattle, Wash., you can click here for their Facebook Page.

What is a phantom voter?

A phantom voter is someonewho either 1) does not exist yet votes, or 2) someone who does exist, votes, but does not know that he or she voted!

Stop Mail-In Ballot Fraud

Sources report the Post Office has been used as an unwitting ballot-gathering apparatus of the Left.

To help purify voter roll, a new “UnDeliverable Ballot Database” is being developed to identify every address to which a ballot may be sent, yet not find an eligible recipient.

It can be used to identify—in advance—addresses to which an official ballot may be sent, eventually landing in the USPS returned or undeliverable mail “basket.”

Such undeliverable ballots are then vulnerable for later harvest for unauthorized use, especially when lax signature verification is employed.

Dirty voter rolls allow “phantom” voters. That is someone who either 1) does not exist yet votes, or 2) someone who does exist, votes, but does not know that he or she voted!

To what sort of questionable addresses may those ballots be sent?

- Vacant lots or street corners.

- Apartment building addresses without unit or apt number.

- College dorms with students registered there for decades.

- Fraternities with a 105-year-old student.

- Churches with no bedroom.

- Restaurants, laundromats, banks, grocery stores.

- UPS and FedEx boxes, sometimes to a dozen voters living in the same box.

Election Watch, Inc., a C3 nonprofit, has been formed to deliver this database and is recruiting volunteers and donors for its Project Omega.

It’s time to ‘Bank’ your vote

To beat the Dems in 2024 at all levels, Republicans must prepare to “bank” as many votes as possible before Election Day. It’s a new and legal strategy that will reduce the ability of bad actors to cheat.

Because of significant 2022 efforts to Protect Your Vote, grassroots Republicans can have confidence in the RNC 2024 “Bank Your Vote” initiative. To  do it, the GOP is ready to start now! In less than two minutes, let RNC chair Ronna McDaniel explain via video.

Here’s how it works. It encourages GOP voters to get their vote in early in the balloting process to make certain their voice is heard at the ballot box in 2024.

In all 50 states, the GOP will work to get like-minded citizens to vote by mail or by early, in-person, voting. In many cases, even ballot harvesting is now permitted by law.

To be successful, this effort needs all of us to share this message with family and friends and to encourage them bank their vote, too!

A vast network of liberal dark money is using ballot initiatives to buy substantial electoral reforms that would otherwise be impossible.

From the Federalist:

Meet The ‘Nonpartisan’ Dark-Money Group Rigging Michigan Elections So Democrats Can’t Lose

BY: SAMUEL T. LAIR

Over the past five years, Michigan has been completely transformed by a series of ruinous electoral reforms. This development, however, has nothing to do with some Trump-induced hangover or the popularity of its Democratic governor, Gretchen Whitmer. These reforms are part of a nationwide conspiracy concocted by a vast network of leftist dark money using “nonpartisan” proxy organizations and the ballot initiative loophole to circumvent the ordinary political process.

* * * * *

At the moment, however, conservatives don’t seem cognizant of the fact that every election cycle they are fighting and losing major battles in the ballot box that have nothing to do with who holds what office. VNP’s success in Michigan is a stark warning of how the left is finding new ways to destroy whatever remains of our constitutional order. It is a strategy that can, is, and will be replicated nationwide. Welcome to the age of “nonpartisan” politics.

The Heritage investigation provides a snapshot of the border crisis scope and scale. Its purpose was to test anecdotal reporting that movement of illegal aliens through the U.S. is being facilitated not just by the federal government, but also by NGOs.

Tracking Illegal Aliens Into U.S. Interior

In a recently released investigation, The Heritage Foundation confirms Biden’s Texas border crisis affects the entire United States and that non-governmental organizations (NGOs) are enlisted to play a key role in the mass resettlement of illegal aliens into the interior.

The time-consuming investigation found approximately 30,000 cell phone devices in the NGO facilities and traced the location of those devices into the U.S. interior during a single month, January 2022. The numbers are known to have grown much greater in the ensuing months.

Mobile devices were traced nationwide to 434 congressional districts — out of the total 435 U.S. congressional districts.

More troubling, the constant illegal immigrant flow aids Mexican cartels as they shuttle terrorists, criminals, and deadly drugs into U.S. cities.

Moolenaar: Gotion ‘wrong for our state’

U.S. Rep. John Moolenaar has weighed in on the controversy over the proposed siting of Gotion’s electric vehicle battery plant in Mecosta County, according to The Center Square.

In an emailed newsletter, the Michigan 2nd District representative calls Gotion “wrong for our state.”

Moolenaar, a Midland native, is a member of the U.S. House Select Committee on the Strategic Competition Between the United States and the Chinese Communist Party. Moolenaar says the CCP was responsible for the spy balloon shot down by the Biden administration in February, and accused them of stealing American industrial secrets, and covering up the origins of COVID-19.

He also noted the proximity of Mecosta County to the Michigan National Guard facility in nearby Grayling, where training is being conducted for members of the Taiwanese military preparing for a potential CCP attack.

“What sense does it make for Michigan to allow a CCP-affiliated company to build a massive factory in our state, while at the same time the Michigan National Guard is helping Taiwan prepare for a possible attack by the CCP? The proposed facility in Mecosta County would be just 100 miles from the Camp Grayling training site,” Moolenaar said.
